Building an Entrepreneur

Hopefully enough Indians

I had my first think tank discussion with the fellas this past Saturday. Exciting is an understatement! These are a group of guys who I went to undergraduate with and have grown with over the past few years. We have always provided each other with advice, fellowship and acted as an ongoing support system. A few years removed from undergraduate and we all seem to be doing rather well in our careers and overall quality of life. It now only makes sense that we are investigating the next step in our careers. Entrepreneurship is something that has been ingrained in me for some time now and I am glad to see that the rest the guys are thinking about building skill sets, working on projects as well as simply taking risks and POSSIBLY making money.

The only real challenge I can see with these guys is the simply taking the action and direction of somebody we consider a peer. We are all for the most part leaders and highly confident in our own abilities. Our first brain storming session went really well as we each identified areas that we would like to develop and work on. I naturally want to investigate more of the educational side of things. The conversation and topics ranged from Real Estate to iPhone applications. I think the most important part to stress when working on projects such as that the idea is often times the least important part, the level of pro-activeness and follow through seem to always be the highest priority for me.

Lets keep the progress coming!
